Transexual
Transgender patients have specific cosmetic needs. Typically, this tends to be male to female because of pre-existing male pattern hair loss as well as facial and body hair that needs removing. However, female to male transsexuals can also have cosmetic concerns that we can help with.
At Rogers Medical Services Limited, we have an open, friendly atmosphere as well as experience in hair transplantation and laser hair removal.
On our related sites, you will be able to read more information about the specific procedures. Obviously, you will need a consultation to discuss more in depth about your requirements, but these will help give you a basis to ask the relevant questions when speaking to Dr Rogers.
Hair transplant
Male pattern hair loss causes hair loss in the temple regions, crown and sometimes all over the top of the head, simultaneously.
Temple recession is perhaps the most distinctive male characteristic. It certainly tends to be the most obvious as it is always on show at the front of the face. Crown thinning can occur in women and can be more easily disguised by hair styling. A feminine hairline really frames the face and allows you to have different hair styles.
A receding hair line that is stabilised through drug treatment, can be brought forward by a hair advancement procedure. However, this alone will not produce a typical curving female hair line. This will require hair transplantation (follicular micrografts) to the temple regions. Please see our sister site for further details. CLICK HERE
Laser hair removal
Unwanted facial and body hair can be reduced by laser hair removal. Our specialist nurse can advise you on your suitability.
Cosmetic surgery
We do not specialise in transgender surgery. However, we are familiar with the different operations involved, as well as the hormonal treatment required. Please discuss further with Dr Rogers at consultation. |
